Lacrosse is a great sport for keeping your kids in shape over the winter.
Lacrosse does not interfere with football and it has only a minor overlap with baseball in the spring.
Lacrosse is a complementary sport to soccer and ice hockey. Several members of the Katy Cavaliers also play soccer and ice hockey.

Lacrosse is a sport like no other. It requires a combination of skills used in basketball, soccer, and ice hockey. Lacrosse offers the speed and power of ice hockey and the endurance, agility, and strategy of soccer and basketball. The best part is anyone can play lacrosse - the big or the small - and it’s a great way to stay in shape over the winter. Lacrosse is fast-paced, full of action, exciting to play, and thrilling to watch.
We are looking for 4th - 8th grade boys to become part of the Katy Cavalier Family. We have 3 teams: the Young Guns (4th - 6th graders), the 7th grade team, and the 8th grade team. We would love if you joined us.
Registration is Saturday, October 17th, at the Firethorne lacrosse fields from 10:30a - 12:30p. Directions: http://www.firethorne.info/location/ .. You will find all the registration forms by clicking on the Registration link.
Optional conditioning practices will start October 20th and will continue on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays for those boys who can make it. Location – tbd.
First Practice - November 10th @ 5:00pm. We practice on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays until games begin. Then practices will be held during the week only on Tuesdays and Thursdays (with an occasional Saturday, if we do not have games).
We will participate in The Reindeer Games, which is a pre-season tournament in early December in Kingwood. We may also participate in a tournament toward the end of January.
Regular league games will start in early February and last until the end of April or early May.
